Over the holidays we get SO busy here at the studio, sometimes, unfortunately, my blog suffers... New Years Resolution? For that not to happen in 2011! I thought I would share just a few images of 2011 Seniors that I have had the absolute pleasure in getting to hang out with! Y'all are so awesome!!

Wow! Can you believe that 2010 is almost over and 2011 is almost here?!? Looking back we had the most AMAZING year and I couldn't have asked for more amazing seniors! Class of 2011, you totally rock!

Looking back on this year, I was thinking about how this past year for Senior17 held many different changes. I have to say I think my favorite addition to Senior17 this past year has been the addition of our outdoor shoots! Whether it was just outside around the studio or going out to a special location in downtown Lexington or all the way to Winchester, they were all a BLAST! I cannot wait to see where my Seniors from the class of 2012 take me... both literally and figuratively! :)

Our model program is an amazing way for high juniors going into their senior year to earn amazing benefits and rewards on their senior portraits, while helping us show off the latest styles and update our senior images!

Meet Catherine!

Nick and I just got back from our Alaskan cruise and had THE most AMAZING time! It was so gorgeous! The whole trip was completely surreal! I took so many pictures it is overwhelming, but I promise I will share a few when I can. And although we had the best time, it is always good to come home. I missed our babies (Shelby and Whitey, our two cats), as well as the studio, which to my delight is totally busy with my 2011 Seniors!

After High School? I want to go to a liberal arts school somewhere up in New York State. I would love to become a media journalist. My dream is to sing on Broadway. =)

Biggest Accomplishment? Getting to go to France last summer with the Sister Cities Exchange Program and getting into GSA this summer!!

Biggest Fear? Being alone and the dark

Can't live without? I couldn't live with out talking to other people

Last purchase? An apple dumpling with bourbon sauce and ice cream... i LOVE food.

Favorite Color? it switches from day to day, but orange is really good for the summer

Perfect Day? Waking up on the beach, working out, reading a book, going shopping, or having a massage, eating a nice dinner with friends or family, then seeing a play

My life in one sentence? My life is like a never ending play...lots of singing and dancing and a dramatic plot line

Special Powers? I can sing opera music

Why i love Senior 17? I love Senior 17 because it allows me to express who I am in photos. Laura is really able to understand what I want out of my pictures and is able to give it to me. Its not your cookie cutter senior pictures. They are individualized and show my personality.

2011 Senior17 Model Premier!!

I am getting SO excited for the upcoming 2011 Senior season!! We have so many awesome things planned for the year a head! First and foremost, we have our Class of 2011 Model Premier next Saturday, April 17th, here at the studio from 2pm to 5pm. I am seriously on pins and needles for it to get here already. We are going to have such a blast! Not only will everyone FINALLY get to see all of the model's images and go home with lots of loot, but one lucky winner will win their own Flip Video camera!!! It is seriously going to be AWESOME!!! AND the best part is that everyone is invited!!!

Recently we had our State Convention for Professional Photographers in Kentucky. As always, Tim, Bev and I had such a great time getting to learn from some of the best photographers around the country as well as getting to visit and enjoy time with friends from around the state. Tim and I were both honored to win several different awards, but one in particular was very exciting for me. I was name Senior Portrait Specialist of the Year! I have to mention this because I couldn't have done this without all of the amazing Seniors that come through our doors! I have such a blast with all of you and you are so amazing to work with!! Thank you so much for continuing to choose us for your Senior Portraits! I have a feeling 2010 is going to be an AMAZING year for all of us!!

So my blog has been a bit neglected this past month and I do have to apologize, but we have been having so many amazing things going on here that totally took my undivided attention. The biggest to mention is the Facebook Event I have been planning for over a month, which is coming up tomorrow, this Friday. If you need to update your Facebook images before school gets back underway come visit us at the studio tomorrow from 12pm - 7pm and we will take care of you. I am SO excited to finally be unveiling the new and improved Senior17 website!! On it now are separate galleries for the guys and the gals, not to mention a totally separate gallery where we will feature a whole session from an individual senior!! Also, new to the website is "The 411" where you can find out more details about what to bring, wear and how to get prepared for you upcoming Senior17 shoot as well as what everyone's been saying about Senior17!

Another exciting update to Senior17 is the addition of the Extended Studio Shoot! In this shoot you get another hour added to your shoot as well as the option to bring friends, pets, and have an unlimited amount of clothing changes, not to mention a behind the scenes video of your shoot to go along with the video of all of your images! For those of you who know me and have been following my blog, you probably have read/heard somewhere along the way that my sister and her husband were expecting their first baby... that's right you read it, they WERE expecting... and, drum roll please... they welcomed Aiden Lynn into the world last Tuesday morning. He is happy, healthy, and if you ask me just perfect! I got to see him this weekend, but I definitely didn't get to spend nearly enough time with him!

He is definitely going to get tired of Aunt Laura having the camera in his face! Isn't he just the most perfect little person you have ever seen!!!!

Aunt to Be!!!

So I've been meaning to mention this for quite a while, but don't really know where the time has gone and how I haven't mentioned it!!!

My sister and her husband are expecting their first child at the end of April!!! So yes, that makes me a first time AUNT!!!! I really can't express to you how excited and thrilled for them I am! And I know they are going to be AMAZING parents!

They came down a few weekends ago to have a maternity shoot and I just wanted to share a few of their images with you all... My sister is just GORGEOUS!!!! They whole glowing thing I have always heard that pregnant ladies have is definitely true for her!!!

There has been so much going on the past few months, it's been WAY too long since I shared images from my Senioristas sessions!!! SO, it is a must... back to the sneak peeks!!! Parvathy was in recently and as you can see is absolutely stunning!!! Not only is she gorgeous but she is incredibly driven!!! Remember this face folks! I know you will see it someday on a much bigger venue and I feel so lucky that I will be able to say "i knew her when..."! Okay... so I just found the best website!!! It is www.ilike.com. You all have to go check it out!!! It is a website where you can build playlists of all your favorites songs and then share them with friends or online... it is awesome! Now, thanks to iLike.com you can listen to what I'm listening to while on Photo-chronicles! Not only can you listen to it, but you can purchase it if you like it, watch a video of it among other things!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

Hey y'all!! As you can see I have a new blog! Don't worry it's still the same great Photo-chronicles you have all come to love, it is just updated, new and improved!!!! Be sure to check back often as we have a LOT of exciting things happening in 2009!!!
